How to make Bootable Usb pen drive for Windows or any other operating systems.

Bootable USB pendrive:

Installing an operating system through a bootable USB pen drive is much better then DVD.
But, to use the usb pen drive to install an OS, it should be bootable; or you'll get some error like "missing operating system". Its because, some systems wont support the usb pen drives to boot, which are formatted in filesystems such as FAT32.
These pen drives should be formatted in NTFS filesystem, in order to make it bootable.

This process can be done by using the command prompt in windows 7 or windows 8, So you don't need any program or software to make a pen drive bootable.

Follow these simple steps:

Step 1 : Plug-in your pen drive in Laptop.

Step 2 : In desktop, press WINKEY + R. This will open a RUN window, on that window just type Cmd and press Enter. After pressing Enter, command prompt will open.

Step 3 : Type DISKPART and Press Enter. It will open a window like shown below.

Step 4 : Type LIST DISK and Press Enter.
It will show all available disk in your system like the below pic. Disk 0 is usually hard disk of your system.
In my case Disk 1 is USB pen drive and This can be different in your case, so please make sure which volume is pen drive.

Step 5 : Type SELECT DISK 1 and Press Enter.

Step 6 : Type CLEAN and Press Enter.

Step 7 : Type CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY and Press Enter.

Step 8 : Type SELECT PARTITION 1 and Press Enter.

Step 9 : Type ACTIVE and Press Enter.

Step 10 : Type FORMAT FS=NTFS and Press Enter then Wait Until 100% complete.

Step 11 : Type ASSIGN and Press Enter.

Step 12 : Type EXIT and Press Enter.

Now bootable USB pen drive is ready to use.Now you can copy and paste windows 7 or windows 8 in your pen drive. It is easiest way to install windows 7 or 8 in your system.
When you want to install windows, plug-in bootable pen drive and restart the system and press boot function key as per different system (f1——-f12).

Note:

Before making bootable USB pen drive please make sure that you are using only one Pen drive at this time. This process is only for windows 7 or 8 not for Xp.
